Biography
Dennis Anderson
- Dennis Anderson has been employed as a quality professional for over
26
yrs.
- Served as Quality Manager in companies such as GTE, Dielectric
Communications, Eagle Industries, and Maine Machine Products.
- A part time faculty member at the University of Southern Maine
for 15 yrs. developing and instructing courses in the quality disciplines.
- A "Fellow" member of the American Society for Quality - member since 1974.
- Has served over 18 years on the executive committee of the Pine Tree State Section
of the American Society for Quality including two 2-year terms as Chair.
- Certified by the American Society for Quality as a Mechanical Inspector,
Quality Technician, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate and Quality Auditor.
- Twice named by the American Society for Quality as the recipient of the
Rudy Woodward Award as "Quality Professional of the Year" for the State of Maine
in 1989 and again in 1991.
- Conceived the idea for the Margaret Chase Smith Maine State Quality Award
and chaired the program for its first three years, currently serving as Presentation
Coordinator.
- A charter member of the Maine Quality Center (now known as the Margaret
Chase Smith Quality Association).
- Served on the task force developing the Maine Quality Center and served
on the Center's board of directors.
- Currently operates Dennis Anderson Associates, providing quality training
and consulting services, including the development and implementation of ISO
registered systems,
to academic institutes and industry throughout the North East and Canada.
- RAB registered auditor
