NORWAY,
ME - Dennis
Anderson
of Norway has been
accorded the honor of being elected a “Fellow” of the American Society for
Quality. ASQ is an organization
of quality professionals over 133,600 members strong throughout the U.S.,
Canada, and Mexico. Anderson is a member of the Pine Tree State Section.
In
order for a member to be elected “Fellow”, he or she must be nominated by
the local section and an extensive application process completed including all
of the accomplishments of the candidate over the years. The application must
then be scored and approved locally before being submitted to ASQ’s national
headquarters in Milwaukee where it is reviewed, voted on and scored again by the
national committee. The election as “Fellow” is one of the highest honors
the ASQ can bestow. There were only 26 “Fellows” elected in the U.S.,
Canada, and Mexico in 1999.
The
ASQ citation reads “For over 25 years of leadership and innovation in
promoting quality throughout the state, including founding, developing and
providing ongoing support for the Maine State Quality Award. For exceptional
contributions to quality education, and for outstanding services to ASQ – over
25 years of section leadership, recruiting and certification training.”
NORWAY, ME - Dennis Anderson recently registered as an RAB Provisional Auditor.
